Job Description – Southern Region

Columbine Logging, Inc., a Denver based well-site geology company since 1980 is hiring experienced geosteerers and well-site geologists for drilling projects in Texas and the southern region. We have operations and offices located in Midland and Mexia, Texas.

 

Our geologists are deployed anywhere in the Southern region, so they must live in this area. This is a demanding position, requiring a unique combination of technical, mechanical, and interpersonal skills along with having a dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.It also requires a flexible schedule, since the time on each job is unpredictable and can vary, based on the time for the exploration company to complete the drilling of the well.

 

Our company is expanding rapidly and we are on the cutting edge of some of the biggest and most exciting unconventional and conventional oil and gas plays in the South.  Our culture, growth and vision are testaments to our extremely low turnover.

A B.S. or B.A. or higher degree in geology is required for this position. In addition, proficient computer, mechanical, and adequate electrical skills are required to create the geological log and to keep all the monitoring instrumentation, collection equipment functioning during the well drilling process. Our operational model is very efficient with state of art, very dependable instruments that we test, calibrate, maintain and support internally 24*7.
